The best thing you can do is one room at a time.If you go at it A little here and a little there you will be swamped with work and nothing will get done.

Make yourself a chart or list of some sort. Each time you start to clean, pick one of the areas you listed and do that area till done. Make sure you have garbage bags and boxes, containers to organize each area as you go. This way you are working in a particular spot and not overwhelmed because you’ve pulled out everything from the closet to the cabinets. Clearing one area at a time gives you a sense of accomplishment when each spot is finished.

first make a list of thing that needs to be done, then start in the easiest room, so later it won’t feel like so much. Get boxes for thing that are not useful in some way, things you don’t use and pack them away, Get rid of things that have no purpose or meaning, thats the key. I am a pack rat and a neat freak rolled into one, its hard to deal.
