We take it to the beach and get it sandy and salty, what should I do to care for, keep, and clean it?

What is the boat made of? There are 3 materials that most inflatable boats are made of: Vinyl, PVC & Hypalon. If your boat is made of Vinyl, it is more a toy than a boat and you can wash it with mild soap and water. PVC is much more durable but will deteriorate in the sun. Hypalon is more durable but (naturally) costs more. There are preservatives that can be used to prolong the life of the boats, such as 303 protectant. Rinsing with fresh water and mild soap is sufficient to clean either type of boat. If you keep in inflated, get a cover to protect it. If the boat has degraded from sun exposure, you can clean it with MEK. Use this stuff sparingly and wash immediately with soap, rinse and dry it and use a preservative such as 303. There are paints that you can use to further restore and preserve PVC or Hypalon but cost over $100/gallon.

zodiac use PVC. its generally fairly durable and doesnt need too much care. keep it out of direct sunlight if your storing it. as in put a cover over it or deflate it and put it away (unless its a RIB design) there are cleaners and waxes around that will protect it, a trip to your local marine store will sort you out with an array of cleaners you can use. but salt and sand, wont damage it, unless you never clean it. rinse it off and make sure to get any sand out of cracks etc where it can rub away at the material. should be ok.
