We use 3M products at my marina. If the gelcoat is in good condition you can use a cleaner/wax but in general the best results are obtained by first rubbing it out followed by a hand wax.

If the gel coat is chalking or faded, use Maguiars #10 marine formula to clean it and Turtle wax F21 to wax it. The Turtle wax is inexpensive and is very easy to apply and wipe off. It lasts all summer on my boats in fresh water.

Meguiars makes all kinds of wax for boats.
Meguiars Flag Ship is a real good one (comes in a blue bottle)

That is all I have used on my 04 Triton TR19XDC

What ever brand you decide to use MAKE sure it has UV protection, and is made for fiberglass.
If you do use one without UV protection, it will allow the paint to fad over time, even if keep in a garage.
