I recently skimmed through a copy of Trailer Boat magazine. There were ads in the mag for products specifically designed for hull cleaning.
If you cannot locate the mag on line or at a news stand, email me. I will go back to my doctor’s office and look it up.

The product we use is made by Rule and is simply called Boat Zoap. It is very effective and is the most popular vessel cleaning product in the world.

Boat Zoap is good but for really tough stains and marine growth use Mary Kate Ez On Ez Off. It is made just for that and works very well. It is an acide so you have to follow directions and use safety gear but it is well worth it. You can get it at West Marine, Boaters World or any good marine supply store.

First use a power washer to get the heavy stuff off, especially on the bottom. Then on the gelcoat, use Y-10 Jelly, available at most marine stores. It is made for fiberglass, and no scrubbing is involved. It paints on, and sprays off.

I use industrial toilet bowl cleaner,it’only $4 per lt and it really works.(use a mask and rubber gloves,it’s powerful stuff) I apply it with a spray bottle, let it soak for 20 to 30 min then rinse.

I use muriatic acid from my pool. Spray on, let work for 45 min. and power wash. Scrape any remaining barnacles and your done.

I use muriatic acid. It’s not pleasant to work with, but it is effective and inexpensive. I cut it 50/50 with water then apply it with a spray bottle. I let it sit for a bit and then take the pressure washer to it.
